Tastes Like Lasagna Soup
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1 (32 ounce) box chicken broth
2 (14.5 ounce) cans petite diced tomatoes
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups broken lasagna noodles
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large stock pot, combine ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until browned. Stirring occasionally. Drain well. 3 cloves garlic, minced

Stir in thyme, brown sugar, broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add noodles, and simmer until noodles are tender. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Top with mozzarella and serve immediately.
