Brazilian Limeade

My husband lived in Brazil for a couple of years and really loved this drink while he was there.  We also have many Brazilian friends and got this recipe from one of them.  There is just something about this drink that hits the "comfort food" button. It's so creamy and delicious. Our Favorite part is to drink the frothy foam at the top. You can also add ice (I like using sonic ice because it shaves up nicely) to the blender to may it more of a slushy drink.

Brazilian Limeade

2 limes
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
3 cups water
ice

Wash limes and cut into quarters (Keep the peels on). In a blender, combine limes, sugar, condensed milk and water. Blend for about 30 seconds, or until limes are broken down. (you can also add ice to this step to make it a thicker drink) Strain juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp. Serve over ice.

Pineapple Limeade

This recipe comes from Real Mom Kitchen .  I really enjoy her blog. We have a lot of the same tastes.  I added an extra lime to toss on top. I really love the lime flavor! It is such a delicious drink. Another quick and easy one for ya.

Pineapple Limeade

1/2 cup of sugar
3 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup lime juice
1 liter club soda, chilled
2 limes, sliced and then cut slices in half

In a large picture, mix the sugar and juices together and chill. You want this nice and cold.
Just before serving mix in club soda and lime slices. Serve over ice. Enjoy!  Makes 8 servings.

Cucumber Punch

Girls night outs have become a huge hit in my little group of friends. Especially as a mom, it's nice to stop and take a little moment for myself, to help me rejuvinate a little bit. One night we had a pamper party at my friend Ambers house.  We had massages, pedicures, eyebrow waxs, and of course FOOD! Cucumber punch was on the menu that night and I have been hooked ever since.  If you are anything like me... I was thinking, cucumbers in punch? Really? That is just weird right?  Just try it once and you will be hooked too. The cucumbers give it a really light flavor. It compliments the lime very well. One thing to remember is, do not make up the limeade by adding water, just pour it in straight. You can also easially make this with sugar free soda and limeade for a diabetic friendly drink.

Cucumber Punch

2 (2 liters) of any lemon lime soda
1 can of frozen limeade
1 cucumber sliced
ice

Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher or punch bowl.
